Stiles groaned at the confirmation that she was there of her own free will. Or at least Peter was saying she was but he still looked at Lydia expectantly.
"It's true." Lydia felt bad for the wince that came from him at her words but, for the most part, she was unapologetic about it. She didn't like that it hurt him but that was something that couldn't be avoided and it wouldn't change her mind about what, or who, she wanted.
"Why?" He asked softly.
Now that was the tricky part, wasn't it? She couldn't just say it was because they were connected because that would only, possibly, reaffirm the whole mind control bit. She looked to Peter then, wondering what he would have to say.
